Tim Credeur

Tim Credeur is a fifth-degree BJJ black belt whose story spans Navy judo, TUF 7, and fight promotion.

Biography

Tim Credeur’s early path in combat sports began with serious judo training with the Navy Judo Team in 1995, as he recalled in a 2008 interview with MMA Mania. In that same 2008 interview, he said he was running a gym in Louisiana. Brazilian jiu-jitsu became another lasting part of that work: Gladiator’s Academy says Rodrigo Medeiros awarded him a black belt on August 15, 2005, and a third degree in 2015. Medeiros’s academy now lists Credeur as a fifth-degree black belt. The Ultimate Fighter 7 became the pivotal turn. Gladiator’s Academy describes Credeur as a cast member who reached the semifinal before receiving a UFC contract. He told MMA Mania that he had planned to retire in 2007, but that the show had changed his life; the outlet reported that he kept fighting regularly for the UFC afterward. Ragin Fighting Championship names Credeur as its matchmaker and promoter, while also identifying him as the founder of Gladiator’s Academy.
