Fernando Pontes, mostly known as "Margarida" within the jiu-jitsu community, is a former open weight world champion in the sport. Margarida's aggressive and entertaining style made him one of the most revered grapplers in the early 2000's, he was also known for his irreverence in and outside of the mats. His high-class technical abilities and his personality made him one of the more recognizable sporting figures of his generation in Brazil.
