Biography

Nicholas Meregali is a three-time IBJJF World Champion who won his first black belt world title in 2017 by defeating Leandro Lo. Known for his submission-first approach and meditative competition mindset, he transitioned to no-gi in 2022 by joining John Danaher's New Wave team, earning ADCC bronze and silver in only his fourth-ever no-gi match. After catastrophic shoulder injuries at ADCC 2024 requiring four surgeries, he returned at UFC BJJ 5 in February 2026.
