Erin Elizabeth Herle

A Cobrinha black belt, Erin Herle paired international competition with seminars across ten countries and later mental-performance consulting.

Biography

Erin Elizabeth Herle built her jiu-jitsu career alongside full-time work and college. In her own account, she began training in 2009 and entered her first competition after only three months. Rubens “Cobrinha” Maciel awarded her black belt in November 2017. Her black-belt results included a divisional win and an open-class bronze at the 2017 South American Championship, both while representing Alliance. In 2018, she won her division at the Asian Championship, again at black belt for Alliance. These are representative results rather than a complete tally of her competition career, which her website describes as spanning more than a decade internationally. Teaching became another part of that career. Herle says it became a passion while she was a brown belt in 2016, and she has since led seminars in ten countries for more than thirty academies. Her current website presents her as both a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and a BJJ black belt under Cobrinha.
