Anja Bergo (b. 1996) is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor representing Frontline Academy Bergen on Norway's west coast. She is among the most decorated Norwegian female grapplers of her generation, with an extensive IBJJF medal record and a reputation built on relentless competition travel — at one point holding four jobs to fund a season of European events.
Bergo trains in the Frontline system under Eduardo "Teta" Rios, and developed into a formidable competitor in both gi and no-gi formats. Her breakout came at purple belt in 2017, when she captured gold at the IBJJF European No-Gi Championship and the IBJJF American Nationals No-Gi. In 2018 she reached the peak of her coloured-belt career, winning the IBJJF European Open Championship in Lisbon, finishing runner-up at the IBJJF World Championship, and adding golds at the New York Spring Open and London Open (weight and absolute). BJJ Heroes named her one of the "Rising European Grapplers" of 2018.
Off the mat she completed a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy at Høgskolen på Vestlandet in Bergen, balancing studies and four jobs with a full international competition schedule.
Bergo is part of the strong cohort of competitors developed at Frontline under Teta Rios and continues to train and teach out of Frontline Bergen.
