Adriana "Quebra-Ossos" Pinto is an Akxe Jiu Jitsu black belt who began teaching as a brown belt and helped open Morada do Sol in Rio.

Biography

Adriana Martins Duarte Pinto, also called Dri and nicknamed Quebra-Ossos, is a Rio de Janeiro-born Akxe Jiu Jitsu black belt known as both a competitor and instructor. BJJ Heroes supplies most of the biographical record used here, including two published lineage paths that place her black-belt training under Vinicios Campelo and Otavio Couto. Born in 1983, Pinto started jiu-jitsu at fifteen at Carlson Gracie's academy. Three months later, she moved to Akxe in Barra da Tijuca. In 2005, while still a brown belt, Pinto began teaching a group of fifteen women. She received her black belt in 2006 and continued teaching. Three years later, she helped open Morada do Sol in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. At the time of its opening, the academy remained connected to Akxe. Her listed competition record includes state titles in 2002 and 2004, the 2006 CBJJE Brazilian National Cup title in the brown-and-black-belt division, and silver medals at the 2007 CBJJE World Cup and CBJJ Brazilian Nationals. An official IBJJF results table provides a later marker: representing Akxe BJJ, Pinto won the Master 1 women's medium-heavy black-belt division at the 2016 Master International Open.
