Shoya Ishiguro (born 1996 in Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt competing in the light-featherweight division. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished Japanese gi competitors in recent IBJJF history, with a run of black-belt podium finishes at the sport's premier events. His most significant result to date is a bronze medal in the light-featherweight division at the 2025 IBJJF World Championship.
Ishiguro's early development came under Mauricio Souza at Bonsai Jiu-Jitsu, where he trained as a colored belt. He later moved to Carpe Diem, competing for the Carpe Diem Mita affiliation during his rise through the ranks, and it was under Yuki Ishikawa that he was awarded his black belt. He won gold in the light-featherweight black belt division at the 2024 IBJJF Asian Championship while representing Carpe Diem Mita.
From 2026 he began competing for his own academy, Arta BJJ. Alongside the 2025 World Championship bronze, his documented black-belt record includes a silver medal at the 2025 IBJJF European Championship, a silver medal at the 2026 IBJJF Pan Championship, and bronze medals in the no-gi format at both the 2023 and 2024 IBJJF World No-Gi Championships. He remains an active competitor on the international circuit.
