Sarah Galvao is a Brazilian-American jiu-jitsu black belt and the daughter of ADCC and IBJJF World champions Andre Galvao and Angelica Galvao. Raised in San Diego training at Atos Jiu-Jitsu HQ from a young age, she achieved a complete IBJJF Grand Slam as a juvenile blue belt in 2022 and was ranked number one across every colored-belt division she entered. After winning gold at the 2025 IBJJF World Championship as a brown belt, she was promoted to black belt on the podium by her parents — and immediately began defeating reigning black belt world champions. At the Craig Jones Invitational 2, she defeated ADCC champion Ana Vieira, earning recognition as the 2025 Female Breakthrough Grappler of the Year at just 19 years old.
