Mark Macqueen is a Scottish no-gi grappler best known as a two-time ADCC Trials champion in the men's +99kg division. In 2024 he won the ADCC European, Middle-Eastern & African Trials, becoming the first Scot to win an ADCC Trials, and repeated the feat at the same trials in 2025 to qualify for the 2026 ADCC World Championship.
Before grappling, Macqueen competed as a powerlifter and held a world title in the sport, a strength background that carries into his heavyweight no-gi game. He trains at MnBJJ (Marcos Nardini BJJ) under head coach Marcos Nardini, who has guided his progression through the belts.
His 2024 Trials gold earned a place at the 2024 ADCC World Championship in the +99kg bracket. In the opening round he lost to Daniel Manasoiu by 6-0 on points, ending his run on his debut at the sport's premier submission-grappling event.
Macqueen's results place him among the most prominent competitors to emerge from the Scottish grappling scene, and his back-to-back Trials titles mark him as a recurring qualifier at the continental level.
