Mads Rask carries one of the more eclectic résumés in Norwegian grappling: a 10th Planet BJJ purple belt with a parallel black belt in Hokutoryu Ju-Jutsu, twelve national championship titles, two king's cups, and a 2012 win on the Norwegian television series 'Norges beste fighter'. The TV title brought him into the public spotlight in a way that almost no Norwegian grappler before him had managed.
He founded 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Fredrikstad — the second 10P affiliate in Norway after 10P Bergen — extending the affiliation's footprint into eastern Norway and the Nedre Glomma region. The academy now operates inside the broader Fit For Fight kampsportsenter project he is building in Fredrikstad.
For Norwegian grappling, Rask is the practitioner who turned a long competitive martial-arts background into a public profile and then channelled the profile into a working gym. The Fredrikstad mat now carries the 10P patch because of him.
