Jo Cabot

Jo Cabot combined sports science with teaching, coaching and practical massage work.

Biography

In a 2023 Bailiwick Express Q&A, Jo Cabot described combining lecturing at University College Jersey with coaching, massage and research in sport and fitness. While studying for an MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiology, she qualified in sports massage to add a practical skill for working with athletes. Through Jo Cabot Massage, she offered sports and pregnancy massage and taught baby massage. A 2019 report placed her alongside Sam Morris coaching Jersey Sport Foundation’s Power to Podium women’s weightlifting group at Fort Regent. The group began in April 2018 and trained regularly over the preceding year. In 2021, Brazilian Power Team Jersey student Cabot won London BJJ All-stars white-belt weight-class gold, the newspaper reported.
