Diego Rodríguez Miranda found teaching confidence and opened Mambises.

Biography

Diego Rodríguez Miranda was part of Alpha Wolf Pack’s Salamanca expedition in 2022, when El Progreso reported his gi gold: victory in competition wearing the traditional uniform. By July 2026, he had opened Mambises in Ourense, honoring his Cuban roots. The former Alpha Wolf Pack student told La Voz de Galicia he gradually discovered an ability and willingness to teach. Friend and coach Krom Castaño helped with strategy; Rodríguez found paperwork manageable. Gymmates followed him. Inauguration, word of mouth and his video prompted trial enquiries. He planned quarterly mentoring from the more experienced Castaño. He described women seeking self-defense, parents seeking discipline for children, and others drawn by fitness or media interest. Teaching older, more experienced adults challenged the young instructor.
