Dario Provost

He went from doubting his first BJJ class to teaching in Gent and Ternat.

Biography

Dario Provost tried BJJ after disliking his brother’s Thai-boxing demonstrations. Repeated throws in his first class left him questioning whether to return. Ring’s May profile described him roughly eight years later, teaching at Gent and Ternat clubs with over 500 members and hoping to coach champions. It reported a Pan-American victory within his purple-belt age-and-weight category, with a Los Angeles competition planned for late May. Stark names him gi (jacket) coach and co-founder. Its collective history connects pandemic living-room practice focused on skills with a gym shared with Woest. Multiweek projects explore positions from both sides through positional sparring and shared problem-solving, with adjustable intensity and cross-training welcomed. At Ternat, beginners use resisting-partner games to enter ground exchanges, get past the legs, pin and submit.
