Bianca Barbosa Basílio

Brazilian black belt Bianca Basílio won ADCC gold in 2019 and back-to-back IBJJF world titles in 2022 and 2023.

Biography

Bianca Barbosa Basílio is a Brazilian black belt who won the ADCC World Championship in 2019 and consecutive IBJJF World Championship titles in 2022 and 2023. Her career grew from the youth ranks at Almeida Jiu-Jitsu into success across several international competition formats. Born in Franca, São Paulo, in 1996, Basílio began in gymnastics before discovering Brazilian jiu-jitsu at age 12. She started training with Almeida Jiu-Jitsu co-founder Diogo Almeida, and Caio Almeida guided her development through the youth ranks before promoting her to black belt in December 2016. Basílio won the women's under-60-kilogram division at the 2019 ADCC World Championship. In 2022, she added her first black-belt IBJJF World Championship, winning the featherweight division. Later that year, she made her ONE Championship submission-grappling debut and submitted Milena Sakumoto in the first round. Her 2023 season included a fifth black-belt Brazilian National title, earned after she submitted two of her three opponents, and a second straight IBJJF featherweight world title. At the 2024 ADCC World Championship, she moved into the under-55-kilogram division and finished second to Adele Fornarino. After an extended absence from competition, Basílio returned for the 2025 IBJJF Crown as an Almeida Jiu-Jitsu representative. She faced three opponents there and defeated Elisabeth Clay in the quarterfinals, adding another chapter to a record already spanning ADCC, IBJJF and ONE competition.
