Sebastian Brosché (born Andreas M. Sebastian Brosché Jonsson, 5 July 1984, Umeå, Sweden) is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Eduardo "Teta" Rios and co-founder of the Yoga for BJJ platform — one of the most influential off-mat training resources in modern grappling.
Brosche started judo at age seven and holds a 2nd-dan judo black belt. He moved to BJJ in 2007 at Checkmat Sweden under Peter Blackwell, then relocated to Oslo to train at Frontline Academy under Teta Rios. He was promoted to BJJ black belt by Rios on 26 November 2016.
As a competitor on the European circuit he was a two-time IBJJF World Champion at purple belt and a four-time European Champion across multiple belts; at black belt he has accumulated a record of around 19 wins and 22 losses (11 by submission), competing from lightweight up to medium-heavy.
The Yoga for BJJ platform — co-founded with his wife Stine Hegre, a yoga instructor — grew out of a back injury that nearly ended his career around 2010-2011. The service now offers 500+ videos and dedicated programmes for grapplers (including "Yoga for Rocks", "Yoga Mobility for Top Game" and "DLR Passing & Side Control Concepts"), and has reshaped how serious BJJ players think about mobility and recovery. He has also released multiple BJJ Fanatics instructionals.
Brosche today lives in Spain with his wife, three children and nine dogs. He continues to teach BJJ and yoga seminars and remains an active voice in the community.
