Ana Mayordomo

Spanish black belt Ana Mayordomo followed her 2024 return from injury with two IBJJF titles, two ADCC Trials wins, and No-Gi Worlds silver in 2025.

Biography

Spanish-American grappler Ana Mayordomo García’s first full season as a black belt brought titles on two continents and two successful runs through ADCC trials. The path to that 2025 season began in Zaragoza, Spain, and continued in Denver, where her family moved in 2013. According to BJJ Heroes, she first tried jiu-jitsu at Easton Training Center on December 12, 2016, and entered her first competition about three months later. For several years, Mayordomo balanced grappling with an unusually concentrated education: three bachelor’s degrees completed in four years. After graduating, she attended a three-week camp with John Danaher’s team at the suggestion of her instructor, Eliot Marshall. The experience led her to pursue grappling full time in Texas, but an injury kept her out of competition for nearly a year. Her return became the hinge in her competitive career. Mayordomo won the brown-belt division at the 2024 IBJJF No-Gi Pan Championship, then received her black belt from Marshall on the podium. In 2025, she won the IBJJF No-Gi Pan featherweight title with two submissions across three matches and took the No-Gi European title after a 9–2 final victory over Liisi Vaht. She also won both the ADCC Europe, Middle East and Africa Trials and the ADCC North American East Coast Trials. The official North American result places her first in the women’s professional under-55-kilogram division. Mayordomo closed the year as the IBJJF No-Gi World featherweight runner-up after reaching the final against Adele Fornarino. By late 2025, she represented Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu and described a game built around pursuing submissions from both top and bottom.
