Alfred Gaote’e urged newcomers to try training before committing to club membership.

Biography

In March 2026, Alfred Gaote’e advised newcomers to try martial-arts training before buying membership. He wanted them to understand the discipline and find out whether the training suited them. In April 2026, he spoke as coach for a group at Honiara’s Kukum New Hope School Hall. Its activities included Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, kung fu/wushu sanda and Tong Il Moo Do. He urged regular practice, invited boys and girls to join, and thanked supporters of overseas training trips and facilities. The group also planned a local kung fu/wushu competition that year.
