Aaron Smith

Aaron Smith taught free self-defense sessions in San Pedro and helped organize a later jiu-jitsu seminar visit.

Biography

Aaron Smith taught free self-defense classes in San Pedro, Belize, as part of a 10th Planet jiu-jitsu team in August 2017. He and fellow instructor Matt Salinas led sessions with Martin Dawson. Held on Barrier Reef Drive from August 15 to 18, the program included women and children and formed part of the San Pedro Sports Committee’s summer sports camp. The following July, Smith helped bring another visit together. Dawson’s Pit Fighters hosted Smith, Salinas, Kohl Laren and the 10th Planet group for seminars on July 12–13, 2018. In its account of the visit, the host school specifically thanked Smith for organizing it.
